Emma Chadek, 89, a resident of Park Lawn Home, Manitowoc, died Sunday morning at the home.
Private family funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Edmund Olson will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Chadek, nee Emma Bjornsen, was born Feb. 16, 1888 in Norway, daughter of the late Helmar and Maren Bjornsen. She immigrated to the United States as a young girl and was married to Steven Chadek, who preceded her in death in 1961. Mrs. Chadek was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Clara Knipp, Mrs. Edna Helwich, Mrs. Michael (Mary Jane) O'Hearn, Mrs. Lloyd (Thelma) Alvord and Mrs. Sylvester (Shirley) Strauss of Manitowoc, 10 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A son, Harold, preceded her in death.
Private visitation will be at Schneider and Purath Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
