JOSEPH CHADEK
Funeral services for Joseph Chadek, 79, of 847 North 19th street, Manitowoc,
who died Tuesday noon at the Holy Family hospital, Manitowoc, will be held
at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the Urbanek and Schlei funeral home, Manitowoc, and
9 o'clock at the Holy Innocents Catholic church. The Rev. E.A. Radey will
officiate and interment will be in Evergreen cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Chadek was born in Bohemia in 1872 and when a boy accompanied his parents
to Manitowoc county. They located in Kossuth. In 1898 he married Miss Frances
Bouda and they located in Manitowoc. He was employed by the Soo railroad for
35 years, retiring in 1937. He served several years as a member of Company H
of the Wisconsin national guard.
Survivors are his wife; a son, Walter of Manitowoc; two brothers, James of
Loveland, Colo., and Steven of Manitowoc; step-brother, James Chadek of
Appleton.
Friends may call at the funeral home, wehre the rosary will be recited at
8:30 Wednesday evening.
