LORENA CHASE DIES AT HOME
Knee Injury Fatal To 14-Year-Old School Girl
Lorena May Chase, 14-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Chase, 866 North
14th street, died today at the home. She was a ninth grade pupil in the Wilson
junior high school.
Last fall she sustained an injury to her knee when she fell. Later in the school
term she fell again and aggravated this condition. She was moved to a Madison
hospital in December for an operation and later was returned to her home in this
city.
Miss Chase was born at Levering, Mich. in 1922 and accompanied her parents to
this city eight years ago. Survivors are the parents, a brother, Wilfred, and a
sister, Leona.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. from the Shimek and Schwartz
funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home from Sunday evening until the hour of
the services.
