Mrs. Emma Chermak, 90, formerly of 912 N 11th St.
Manitowoc died Sunday at Manitowoc County Hospital where she had been a patient
four months.
Christian Science services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Jens
Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
The former Emma
Krainik was born Jan. 3, 1874, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Wencel and
Anna Swoboda Krainik. She attended Manitowoc schools. She was married to the
late Anton Chermak, Jan. 26, 1896, at Manitowoc. They lived at Manitowoc all
their married life. Mr. Chermak died in 1940. Mrs. Chermak was a member of
Christian Science Church, Manitowoc, and Order of the Eastern Star No.
196.
Surviving are four sons, three brothers, John and Charles Krainik of
Manitowoc and Emil Krainik of Milwaukee; a sister, Mrs. Blanche Wilda of
Manitowoc; seven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. A daughter, four
sisters and two brothers also preceded her in death.
Friends may call until the
hour of service at the funeral home where a memorial service by the Order of the
Eastern Star will be at 7:30 o'clock this Monday evening.
