Mrs. Joseph Chermak, 47, of 297 North Tenth street; died Friday afternoon at
the hospital. She had been seriously ill 10 days.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Wattawa, Urbanek and
Schlei funeral home, in charge of the Rev. C. H. Phipps of the Presbyterian
church. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. Chermak, whose maiden name was Vlasta Lapour, was born in Racine in 1889.
In 1910 she was married at Racine to Joseph Chermak. They located in this city.
Survivors are the widower; a daughter, Harriet, city; father, Benjamin Lapour
Sr., city; brother, Benjamin Jr., Madison; sister, Mrs. Ann Cerny, city.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home from Sunday evening until the hour
of the services Tuesday.

Marriage of Joseph/Vlasta Chermak
Joseph Chermak and bride who was Miss Vlasta LaPour of Racine, have
reached the city to take up their permanent home. The couple were
married at Racine early in the week and spent a few days at Milwaukee
and Chicago. Mr. Chermak is employed at the Sommers Meat Market and
congratulations will be tendered the couple who will make their home at
6th and Cleveland avenue.
