ROLAND T. CHERNEY
Roland T. Cherney, 68, of 1417 S. 11th St., Manitowoc, died unexpectedly
Friday evening at Sturgeon Bay.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral
Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Gervase Zanotti will officiate and burial will be
in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Cherney was born Aug. 7, 1903, at Two Rivers, son of the late Ladislaus
and Anna Ginzl Cherney. He married Marquerite Pernot Sept. 23, 1931, at Port
Washington. The couple came to Manitowoc to reside. Mr. Cherney had been
employed by the Kingsbury Brewery retiring ten years ago. His wife preceded
him in death Nov. 27, 1961. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie No. 706 of
Manitowoc.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Alex Baltos, of Manitowoc.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday until
the time of service.
A Memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday by the Eagles Aerie No. 706.
