DEATH TAKES MOTHER OF FOUR ON THURSDAY
After an illness of a year’s duration, Mrs. Joseph Cherny, 48, passed away
yesterday afternoon at the family home, 1854 Belmont street. Funeral services
will be held Saturday afternoon at two from the Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei
funeral home, in charge of the Bohemian lodge, Z.C.B.J. No. 115, with interment
tomorrow morning at Evergreen. The remains may be viewed tonight and tomorrow
morning at the funeral home.
The maiden name of the deceased was Catherine Huster and she was born in Bohemia
in 1883. She was married there in 1905 to Joseph Cherny. The latter came to this
country in 1907 and was joined by his wife later and they have resided here for
many years. Besides the husband, two daughters, Emily and Vlasta and two sons,
Frank and Bahmrel, all of this city, survive. Two brothers and two sisters in
Bohemia also survive.
