JOHN CHIZEK
John Chizek, 80, of Rt. 2, Manitowoc, died Thursday at home.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Jens Funeral Home,
Manitowoc. The Rev. Herbert Kesting will officiate and burial will be
in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Chizek was born Feb. 12, 1893, in the Town of Franklin, son of the
late John and Kathryn Cherney Chizek. He married Mary Shimon Dec. 11,
1918, at Manitowoc. He was employed a number of years at Rockwood Lime
Kilns and then farmed from 1925 to 1948. He was also employed at Mirro
Aluminum Co. from 1949 until 1958, when he retired. He was a musician,
playing with the Jim Novy, Paul Gosz and White Star Bands for many years.

Two daughters and a sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. this Friday evening
and Saturday until the time of service.
