Mrs. Mary A. Chizek, 83, of Rt. 5, Manitowoc, died Thursday morning, Sept. 1, at Park Lawn Nursing Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Gerald Schrankler will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Chizek was born Feb. 23, 1900, in the Town of Franklin, daughter of the late Frank and Katherine Frelich Shimon. She married John Chizek Dec. 11, 1918, at Manitowoc. The couple farmed all John Chizek Dec. 11, 1918, at Manitowoc (sic). The couple farmed all of their lives. He preceded her in death in 1973.
Survivors include a sister, Ella Fidler of Wisconsin Rapids, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two daughters, three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home 6 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Friday evening and 9 a.m. Saturday until the time of services. Memorials may be made to Park Lawn Nursing Home.
