Mrs. Arthur Christel, 64, of 1129 N. 23rd St., Manitowoc, died Sunday at home.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and at
10 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. E. A. Radey will
officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Christel, the former Margaret J. Cummings, was born March 4, 1901, at
Chicago, daughter of the late John and Bridget Brazel Cummings.
She was married to Mr. Christel Jan. 25, 1928, at Chicago, and after their
marriage they lived at Peoria, Ill., until 1942, when they moved to Valders.
They were residents of Manitowoc since 1955. She was a member of the Christian
Mothers Altar Society of Holy Innocents parish.
She is survived by her husband; stepfather, William T. Casey, and a sister, Mrs.
Alice Keafer, of Chicago and nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday where at 8 p.m. the
Rosary will be recited by the CMA, parish and friends.
