SPANISH WAR VETERAN OF CITY PASSES
Andrew Christensen died at an early hour this morning at the Northern
hospital at Oshkosh where he has been a patient since October 23. The
body will be brought to this city and the funeral will be held Saturday
afternoon from the home at 209 North Seventh street.
Mr. Christensen was born in this city and was forty-six years old. He
served with Co. H during the Spanish American war. He had been in failing
health for two years and for a time had been employed at the Capitol
theater. Last fall his condition became alarming and he was removed to the
hospital for treatment but failed to rally from his attack and death ensued
this morning.
Surviving Mr. Christenson are his widow, Mrs. Alma Christensen, three step
children, Mrs. Emma Geisler, Roy and Lorraine Christensen; three brothers,
Olaf, Charles and Harold and two sisters, Mrs. William Green and Mrs. Joseph
Ha??l, all residing in this city.

Funeral services were held this afternoon for Andrew Christensen,
Spanish American War Veteran who died at Oshkosh, after a lingering
illness of several years. In mentioning the survivors omission was
made of the deceased mother, Mrs. Anna Christensen.
