ANNE CHRISTENSEN (d. 1937)

Mrs. Anna(sic) Christensen, 83, nee Anna Hansen, died at 3:20 yesterday afternoon
at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Joseph Hartl, 615 South 19th street. Death was
attributed to complications of advanced age.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Frazier
Mortuary chapel, the Rev. O. K. Espeseth officiating. Burial will be in the
Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. Christensen was born in Oslo, Norway, November 15, 1853. She came to America
and to Manitowoc in 1870. In 1874 she was married to Andrew Christensen, who died
30 years ago. Eleven children were born to the couple of whom five are living.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Hartl and Mrs. William Green, both
of Manitowoc; three sons, Olaf, Charles and Harold, all of Manitowoc; two brothers,
Olaf Hansen of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Harold of Oslo, Norway; a sister, Mrs. A.
Olsen, Chicago; and 21 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
The body will lie at the funeral parlors from Wednesday noon until the time of the
services Thursday.
