HELENE CAROLYN CHRISTIANSEN (d.2000)

Helene C. Christiansen, age 88, of 819 N. 6th St., Manitowoc, died Thursday,
January 6, 2000, at North Ridge Medical & Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:45 p.m. on Monday, January 10, 2000, at the
Jens Family Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. William Plank, with burial
to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Helene was born September 29, 1911, in Marshfield, Wis., daughter of the late
Charles A. and Carrie Bolz Brandt. She graduated from Lincoln High School, as
Salutatorian of her class in 1928, which was the first graduating class to attend
all four years in the newly built school. She married Clyde Christiansen, June 2,
1937, at First Presbyterian Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death in 1988.
She was active in the Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School, served
as Sunday School Superintendent for eight years, Deacon, Elder, and served on the
Library Board of the church. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, a 50
year member of the Eastern Star, and charter member of the Shrine Auxiliary.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Kent and Kay Christiansen, Cedarburg;
two grandchildren, Erik (wife, Christa) Christiansen, Jackson, Wis., Enid
Christiansen, Milwaukee; one great grandchild, Hana Christiansen, Jackson, Wis.;
one sister, Jane Allger, Manitowoc; other relatives and friends also survive. Besides
her parents, and husband, Clyde, she was preceded in death by one brother, Everette
Brandt, one sister, Lucile Titera, and two brothers-in-law.
Relatives and friends may call at the Jens Family Funeral Home, from 1 p.m. until
the time of service at 1:45 p.m. on Monday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or the
Shriners Hospital.
