Death from old age debility on Mon. evening of John Christiansen, a well known resident of our city. Mr. Christiansen was born 06 Feb. 1817 in Husum, Schleswig-Holstein, and came to America in 1866. He lived in Two Rivers until 1882, then moved to Kings Bridge, and finally moved to Manitowoc in 1886 where he has lived ever since. In addition to his widow he is survived
by 6 children, namely, Fred, Peter and Mathias who live here, Emil in Bar Harbor, Ohio, George in Milwaukee, and Ferdinand in Sheboygan. The deceased had operated a large mercantile store and brewery in Germany. His funeral
will be held this afternoon from the funeral home at 7 York St. under the direction of Pastor Zenk of the Reformed Church.
