Mrs. Shirley D. Cigler, age 66, died Saturday, March 11, 1995, at her winter
residence in Englewood, Fla.
Memorial Services will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc,
at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, 1995. It was Mrs. Cigler's request to be cremated
and to have her ashes buried in Evergreen Cemtery (sic), Manitowoc.
Mrs. Cigler was born April 9, 1928, in Escanaba, Mich., daughter of the late
Whalton and Delores Bedore Georgenson, Sr. She was a longtime employee of the
University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, from where she retired in 1978, as supervisor
of purchasing for the School of Nursing. Shirley and her husband, Paul, lived in
Englewood, Fla., during the winter and in the Sturgeon Bay area during the
summer.
Survivors include her husband, Paul J. Cigler, Sr.; three children, William (Sue)
Olson, Crystal Lake, Ill., Karen Olson, Daniel (Jackie) Olson, all of Milwaukee;
five step-children, Ellen (Buzz) Dawson, Joliet, Ill., Thomas (Pattie) Cigler,
Timothy Cigler, all of Sturgeon Bay, Paul J. Cigler, Jr., Appleton, Andrew Cigler,
Portland, Ore.; two sisters, Lila (James) Foytik, Donna (Deward) Rott, all of
Manitowoc; three brothers, Gerald (Carol) Georgenson, Jr., Martin (Ann) Georgenson,
all of Manitowoc, Whalton (Linda) Georgenson, Jr., Sturgeon Bay; four grandchildren;
eight step-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home from 1:30 p.m. until the
time of the Memorial Service at 2 p.m.
Memorials would be appreciated to the American Cancer Society or a Hospice of the
donor's choice.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc, assisted the family with funeral
arrangements.
