ELLA M. CYR

Mrs. Ella Cyr, wife of A.H. Cyr who is manager of the Western Union
Telegraph office in this city, died early this morning at the Holy
Family hospital after an operation for a ruptured appendix.
Funeral services will be held Monday, at 7:30 a.m. from the Pfeffer
Funeral Home and at 8 o'clock at Sacred Heart Catholic church, the
Rev. John Landowski officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the Pfeffer Funeral Home from 4 p.m.
Saturday until the hour of the funeral.
Mrs. Cyr was born Ella Raiche in Menominee, Mich., on January 6, 1891.
She was married to Mr. Cyr in 1911, and the couple came to Manitowoc
in May, 1936.
Survivors are the widower, a daughter, Sister Donald Marie of the
Holy Family convent at Alverno; one son, Donald of this city; one
brother, N.J. Raiche of Minneapolis; one sister, Miss Clara Raiche
of Menominee; and the father, Joseph Raiche of Menominee.
Mrs. Cyr was a member of the Altar society of Sacred Heart Catholic
church, the Menominee, Mich., circle of the Daughters of Isabella,
and the Macabees.
The Altar society will recite the rosary Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at the
funeral home, and the Knights of Columbus will recite the rosary at
8 o'clock.
