Mrs. Gerald (Bette) Czekala Sr., 58, of 2113 Emerson St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday
evening, January 17, 1989, at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc. Funeral
services will be 9:30 am Friday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 am at Holy Innocents
Catholic church, Manitowoc. Rev. Jeff VandenHeuvel will officiate at the Mass of
Christian Burial and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Bette Mae Rosinsky was born January 18, 1930 in Manitowoc, daughter of Irene
Armbruster Rosinsky and the late Roy Rosinsky. She was a graduate of Lincoln
High School with the Class of 1948. She married Gerald P. Czekala, October 6,
1951 at Manitowoc. Mrs. Czekala was a lifelong Manitowoc resident and had been
employed by Gregory and Simonson clinic of Manitowoc for several years.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald P. Czekala Sr., of Manitowoc; three sons
and daughters-in-law, Gerald P. Jr. and Petrea Czekala of Manitowoc, Tom and Kim
Czekala of Manitowoc and Mike and Sarah Czekala of Mishicot; six daughters and a
son-in-law, JoAnn Kalista of Manitowoc, Kathy and Jim Hauch of rural Newton, Jean
Loberger of Manitowoc, Nancy Czekala of Two Rivers, Sue Ann Czekala and Mary Beth
Czekala, both at home; her mother, Mrs. Irene Rosinsky of Manitowoc; two brothers
and sisters-in-law, John and Lilas Rosinsky of Manitowoc, Robert and Mary Jo
Rosinsky of Two Rivers; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Gloria and Bill Artz of
Manitowoc, Karen and John Holmes of New York; 13 grandchildren, Luke Kalista, Scott
Hennessey, Kelly Hennessey, Jaimie Sue Hauch, Amy Loberger, Derrick Czekala, Kayla
Czekala, Gerald P. Czekala III, Greg Czekala, Kristen Czekala, Eric Czekala, Jason
Czekala and Monica Czekala; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Vic and Frieda
Czekala of Manitowoc; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary Jane and Barry
Benson of Wilmington, Delaware; many nieces, nephews, cousins, a special cousin,
Charlotte Endries, aunts, uncles and many special friends. She was preceded in
death by a sister, Joan and a nephew, Jeff Rosinsky.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Fuenral Home, Manitowoc, 4 pm to 9 pm Thursday. A
prayer service will be 8 pm by Deacon Paull Kieffer.
