Dan Danielson Dies After Car Hit From Behind
Victim was 59; 2 Brothers Live at Manitowoc
REEDSVILLE—The director of the Neenah Vocational School and member of a promi-
nent Manitowoc family was fatally injured in a rear end automobile collision
four tenths of a mile east of this village on Highway 10 at
about 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
Dan E. Danielson, 59, died later in the night at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc,
of injuries received in the crash. Hospital authorities said it was not immed-
iately determined at what time he died.
Danielson had headed the Neenah school since 1955 and was a brother of John
Danielson, Manitowoc attorney, and James Danielson, chief of the Manitowoc Fire
Dept.

Danielson was born Feb. 24, 1907, at Manitowoc, son of the late Dan G., and Mary
Peterik Danielson. He attended city schools and was graduated in 1924 from
Lincoln High School. He attended University of Cincinnati and was graduated from
Stout State College in 1924. His entire educational career was spent at Neenah
Vocational School.
Funeral Tuesday
Mr. Danielson was a veteran of World War II, having served in the European Theater.
He was a member of the Manitowoc Elks Lodge, Wisconsin Educational Assn. and the
Wisconsin Association of Directors of Adult and Vocational Education.
In addition to John and James, he is survived by a third brother, Paul Danielson,
of Tucson, Ariz., and two sisters, Miss Marie Danielson, of Racine and Mrs. Donald
Pemberton, of Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home,
Manitowoc. The Rev. Edmund E. Olson will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Tuesday. Memorials may be sent
to St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church.
