At 6 o'clock on /Sunday morning, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Rudolph
Heins, Mrs. Minnie Dassler died from complications of a several week long
illness. The deceased who was born a Huebner was born on October 17, 1846 in
Seehausen, Prussia and came to America as a six years old child with her parents
and then to town Meeme. In 1866 she married Mrs. Herman Dassler and they
settled in Manitowoc. Her husband died in 1881. During her last years she has
lived in Kiel. She is survived by two sons, Albert in Kiel and Oscar in
Milwaukee and two daughters, Mrs. Rudolph Heins in Kiel and Mrs. M. Kalaherin in
Milwaukee, also eight grandchildren and one step sister. She had reached the
age of 68 years, 1 month and 19 days. After the funeral at the house,
officiated by Pastor Rech, her coffin was transported to Manitowoc to be laid to
rest beside her husband.
