Milton J. Deubler, age 94, a resident of North Ridge Medical &
Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, died Thursday evening, February 22,
2001, at the Center.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 26, 2001,
at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of
Christian Burial will be Rev. Roman Zbieranski, O.F.M. with burial at
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
He was born June 15, 1906, in Manitowoc, son of the late John and Mary
Mahler Deubler. On February 12, 1931, he married the former Rose Schuh,
at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Milton was a route salesman
for Normington Inc. and also a security officer for Mirro. He was a
member of the Manitowoc Senior Center Orchestras and other musical
groups of the Center.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Deubler, Manitowoc; one son and
daughter-in-law, Robert and Ellie Deubler, Manitowoc; a son-in-law,
Christopher Schmitt, Glendale; two brothers and three sisters-in-law,
Lester and Elaine Deubler, Chester and Delores Deubler, Sally Deubler,
all of Manitowoc; five grandchildren, Kristine (Dean) Kirst, Robb
(Kathy) Deubler, Christopher (Ellen) Deubler, Steve Schmitt, and James
(Valerie) Schmitt; four great grandchildren, Elizabeth Kirst, Michael
Kirst, Amanda Thomm, and Elise Thomm. Nieces, nephews, other relatives,
and friends survive. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon
Schmitt; a granddaughter, Amy Thomm; a brother, Roy Deubler; and a
sister and brother-in-law, Irene and Adolph Kadow.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Mary Catholic Church,
Manitowoc from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of service at 11 a.m.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with
funeral arrangements.
Milt was a loving husband, dad, grandpa and great grandpa who loved
music, fishing, and speaking German. He will be greatly missed.
