GILBERT HENDERSON DICKSON

G.H. DICKSON CALLED TO REST TODAY
G.H. Dickson for twenty years a resident of this city and engaged in
business here for years, died at the hospital today after an illness
of several months, aged 61. Mr. Dickson suffered an attack of the flu
last fall and never recovered from its effects. He was ill at the time
his daughter, the late Mrs. Milton McKeough was stricken last November.
Mr. Dickson was a native of Quebec, Canada born there November 2, 1858
and came from that city here and became a citizen of the U.S. He was
engaged in business here until a few years ago but for some time has
by reason of ill health, retired. Besides his widow, Mr. Dickson is
survived by two daughters, Mrs. John Staudt and Mrs. Paul DeLeon.
Deceased was a member of the Presbyterian church an elder and a member
of the board of trustees of the local church. Funeral services will be
held Saturday afternoon at 2 from the Presbyterian church.

Gilbert Henderson Dickson was born on November 2, 1857. He was baptized on March 14 1858. The Manitowoc Herald News' accounting is incorrect. I have a copy of the original record of Baptism (Frampton, Quebec, Canada).
