FRANCIS A. DIETL

Francis A. Dietl, 61, of 518 Oak St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday evening at Holy
Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church, Manitowoc.
The Rev. Vernon Anderson will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Mr. Dietl was born May 17, 1908, at Manitowoc, son of the late Frank and Bertha
Wittmer Dietl. He was graduated in 1926 from Lincoln High School and subsequently
was employed at Groffman Drug Store until Nov. 25, 1931, at which time he obtained
his license as pharmacist. He continued to work covering a span of 37 years, at
Groffman Drug Store until it closed in 1968. Mr. Dietl had been associated with
Osco Drugs at Mid Cities Mall since.
He attended Marquette University, Milwaukee, and University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Surviving are his wife, the former Dorothy Frosch, of Grimms, whom he married
Aug. 31, 1947, and a son, (private).
Friends may call at First Lutheran Church after 10 a.m. Friday until 1 p.m. when
the casket will be closed. Arrangements are by Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home,
Manitowoc.
Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church.
