FRANCES A. DIETZ

Frances A. Dietz, age 94, of 1225 S. 21st St., Manitowoc, died Sunday morning,
October 24, 1999, at St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 28, 1999, at St. Mary
Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Concelebrating at the Mass of Christian Burial will
be Rev. Roman Zbieranski O.F.M. and Rev. Tom Wojciechowski O.F.M., with burial
to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born April 2, 1905, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late John and Catherine
Zagrodnik Matczynski. On June 15, 1936, she married Joseph E. Dietz at St. Mary
Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death, September 17, 1964. Frances
worked at the former Aluminum specialty Co. in Manitowoc, now known as Foley Co.
for many years, retiring in 1967. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary Catholic
Church and over 50 year member of the Rosary and Altar Society.
Survivors include a daughter, Loretta Klabunde, Manitowoc; a grandson, Scott
Klabunde, Manitowoc. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Valeria Mtczynski, Blanche Karl, Alice
Frozena, Sophie Lchowicz; four brothers, Frank, John, Joseph, and Walter Matczynski
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc,
from 9 a.m. Thursday, until the time of service at 11 a.m.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

Matczynski-Ditz (sic) Rites at St. Mary's Monday
A gown of white French organdy and a large hat of horsehair braid were what Miss
Frances Agnes Matczynski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Matczynski, 1213 South
22nd street, wore for her wedding Monday morning to Joseph Ditz, 1010 North 12th
street, son of Mrs. Barbara Ditz of Norman. The couple were married Monday at 7:30
a.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic church, the Rev. J.M. Pociecha officiating.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Frozena attended the couple. Mrs. Frozena wore a chiffon frock
of blue and pink print and she had a spray of gardenias in her hair. She carried a
bouquet of gladioli and Johanna Hill roses. The bride carried gardenias and
sweetheart roses.
Breakfast, dinner and supper were served yesterday to 50 guests. Mr. Ditz and his
bride will not leave on their honeymoon trip until June 30. Where they will go at
that time has not been announced.
