Mrs. Ernest W. (Anna) Dill Sr., 85, who resided with her daughter at Rt. 3,
Manitowoc, died Saturday evening at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Wesley United Methodist
Church. The Rev. David A. Passet will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Dill was born Jan. 23, 1888, at Kellnersville, daughter of the late Frank
Stokes and Catherine Duchac. She was married to Ernest Dill Sr., Sept. 21, 1908,
at Kellnersville. Her husband preceded her in death July 19, 1953. She and her
late husband owned and operated Dills English Lake Resort from 1945 until 1967.
Survivors include a son, Ernest Jr., of Manitowoc, a daughter, Mrs. Kathleen
Kimmes, of Rt. 3, Manitowoc, two grandchildren, Robert Dill, of Manitowoc, and
Mrs. Fredrick (Betty) Haupt., of Rt. 3, Manitowoc, and three great grandchildren.
Niece and nephews also survive. One brother Emil preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 6 to 9
p.m. Tuesday, until noon Wednesday and at the church until the time of service.
