Harry Dill, 85, of 1445 N. Seventh St., Manitowoc, died Saturday morning in
Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in
First Lutheran Church Chapel, Manitowoc. The Rev. George Knudson will officiate
and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Dill was born Nov. 6, 1892 in Manitowoc, son of the late William and Martha
Eberhardt Dill. He attended Manitowoc schools and married Cora Bishop Nov. 28,
1912 in Manitowoc, residing in Manitowoc all their lives. For many years he
owned and operated the Dill Oil Co., later worked as a body man and mechanic
for Ed. Fritsch Auto Sales and in later years was a custodian at Manitowoc
Savings Bank, retiring in 1963. Mr. Dill was a member of First Lutheran
Church.
Survivors include his wife, a daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Jack Kestly
and a brother, Ernst of Manitowoc; four grandchildren and a great grandchild.
A son, Donald preceded him in death.
Friends may call in First Lutheran Church Chapel after 11 a.m. Tuesday until
the time of service. Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc is in charge of arrangements.
There will be no visitation in the funeral home.
