DIES ON EVE OF SEVENTIETH BIRTHDAY
After a several months’ illness, Mrs. Martha Dill, widow of the late William
Dill, passed away this morning at eight o’clock at the home of her son, Ernst,
at 1407 Hamilton street, with whom she has been residing. Had she lived until
Sunday she would have reached her seventieth birthday.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 from the Dill home and
at two o’clock from the Wesley M.E. church, with interment at Evergreen
cemetery.
The maiden name of the deceased was Martha Eberhardt, and she was born in 1861
in the town of Rockland. In 1885 she was married to William Dill and they
resided on a farm in the town of Newton for many years. Some ten years ago they
removed to this city to make their residence and Mr. Deill passed away three
years ago.
Two sons, Harry and Ernst, both of this city, a sister, Mrs. Minnie Vogel of
this city, and a brother, Ernst Eberhardt of Newton as well as four grandchildren
and one great grandchild survive.
