Mrs. Carl Doerschner, 83, died early this morning at the family home, 921
South 13th street, after an illness of three months.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. L. K.
Koeninger of the First German Ev. Lutheran church at the Pfeffer Funeral
Home. The body will lie in state from Saturday at 7 p.m. until the time of
the funeral at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen.
Mrs. Doerschner was born Louisa Mathews in Newton on March 21st, 1855. She
was married to Carl Doerscher Nov. 22, 1884, and in 1918 the couple moved
to this city.
Survivors are the widower, two daughters, Mrs. William Arndt of Withee, Wis.,
and Mrs. Martin Schuette of this city, three sons, Albert, Adolph and Herbert
of Chicago, one brother, Frederick Mathews of Waukesha, one sister, Mrs.
Henry Waack of Newton, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
