DONALD W. DOLAN
Mr. Donald W. Dolan, 78, of 3104 Lindbergh Drive, Manitowoc, died
Tuesday, August 8, 1989 at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 8 pm Thursday evening at Jens Funeral Home,
Manitowoc. Manitowoc Elks Lodge No. 687 will conduct the service.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Dolan was born April 29, 1911 at Ashland, Wisconsin, son of the
late Charles and Agnes Rosenfeldt Dolan. He attended schools in
Ashland and graduated from Ashland High School. Mr. Dolan was a
Veteran of World War II, stationed with the United States Army in
England and France, being discharged in 1945. He married Katherine
Fuhrmann on August 21, 1950 at Athens, Wisconsin. The couple then
came to Manitowoc to make their home. Mr. Dolan was Head Examiner
of the Unemployment Department of Wisconsin for the Manitowoc area.
He was a member and past Exulted Ruler in 1970-1971 for the Manitowoc
Elks Lodge No. 687.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine of Manitowoc; a brother, Jack
Dolan of Chicago; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Mrs. Eileen
Zembryske of Burlington, Vermont, Mrs. Evelyn Oestreicher of Ashland,
Marjorie and Charles Wilcox of Ashland; nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Jim.
Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home 6 pm Thursday to the time of
services. There will be no Wednesday evening visitation.
