Katherine Dolan, age 88, of 1235 S. 24th St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday, August 14,
1996, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Graveside Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 16, 1996, at the Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc. Officiating will be Rev. William Plank and burial will follow at
Evergreen Cemetery.
She was born August 23, 1907, in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of the late Frank and
Katherine Schumm Fuhrmann. She attended schools in Dubuque and graduated from high
school in Dubuque, and later attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison graduating
in 1936. She taught in Richland Center for two years moving to Manitowoc in 1938, and
later taught school in Manitowoc until 1951. She married Donald Dolan August 21, 1950,
in Athens, Wis. He preceded her in death in 1989. She is a former member of the Eastern
Star Julian Dubuque Iowa Chapter #125, a 56-year member.
Survivors include one niece; three nephews; and other friends. She was preceded in death
by her parents, her husband, Donald, and three brothers.
