Walter J. Dolezal, 70, of 910 N. 16th St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday morning, April 8, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Steven D. Miles will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Dolezal was born Nov. 22 (sic), 1910, at Milwaukee, son of the late Joseph and Anna Gruber Dolezal. He attended school in Milwaukee and later entered the military service in 1942 then serving in the Eropean Theatre and being discharged in 1946. He married LaVerne Grosshuesch, Nov. 22, 1942, at Milwaukee. The couple moved to Manitowoc to reside in 1952. Mr. Dolezal was employed with Mirro Corp. in the shipping department for 20 years retiring in 1972.
Survivors include his wife; a sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Edward Meyer of Manitowoc; a niece, Susan Kamper of Marquette, Mich.; two nephews, Edward Meyer Jr. of Chicago and Donald Meyer of Manitowoc. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday until the time of service.
