Mrs. James Donahue, 63, of 1340 S. 17th St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday morning
at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a short illness.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First German Evangelical
Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. L. H. Koeninger will officiate and burial
will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Donahue, the former Laura Boettcher, was born in Reedsville on June 13,
1893(sic), and on March 8, 1913, was married to Mr. Donahue. The couple
established residence in Manitowoc where the husband died five years ago.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Reinhold Hornes of Manitowoc and Mrs.
Howard Weaver of Detroit; a brother, Arthur Boettcher of Reedsville; three
sisters, Mrs. Gust Mumpy and Mrs. Arthur Habeck of Manitowoc and Mrs. James
Cullen of Hayton, Wis.; and two grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after noon
Wednesday until 10 a.m. Thursday when the casket will be moved to the church
where the body will lie in state until the hour of service.
