Mrs. John (Mary) Doolan, 89, of 416 N. Fifth St., Manitowoc, died Saturday morning at home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. William Zimmer will officiate with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Mrs. Doolan, nee Mary Pfeffer was born Sept. 11, 1887, at Omaha, Neb., daughter of the late Henry and Mary Vosmuth Pfeffer. She came to Manitowoc as a child. She was married to John Doolan Jan. 21, 1909, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He preceded her in death in 1945. Mrs. Doolan was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Rosary Society.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, John and Joan Doolan of Manitowoc; two daughters and a son-in-law, Howard and Margaret Fischer, of Manitowoc and Miss Florence Doolan, of Manitowoc: five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A daughter, Helen, preceded her in death in 1975. Two brothers and two sister also preceded her in death. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
