Thomas C. Dorey, 91, retired marine engineer, of 505 Chicago St., Manitowoc,
died Friday morning after a short illness.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Pfeffer Funeral Home,
Manitowoc, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Dorey was born Jan. 1, 1861, at Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. He moved to
Chicago in 1881 and three years later came to Manitowoc to reside. In 1885 he
married Margaret Barry, who died in 1948. Mr. Dorey was employed as a marine
engineer by the Goodrich Steamship Company and retired in 1920.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. W. H. Smith of Madison and Mrs. Margaret
Splitt of Manitowoc; three sons, Leo and James of Manitowoc and Earl of Milwaukee;
10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday.
