Mrs. Emily Doubek, age 94, of (sic) Manitowoc resident Friday, March 4, 1994, at
Calumet Homestead, New Holstein.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 7, 1994, at Holy Innocents
Catholic Church, the Rev. Gerald Foley will officiate at the Mass of Chrisitan
Burial, with interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
She was born November 9, 1899, in the town of Gibson, Manitowoc County, daughter
of the late, Frank and Anna Kraus Kimmel. She grew up and was educated at Branch,
and was employed as a secretary at White House Milk Company until her retirement.
She was married to Julius W. Doubek on July 21, 1925, at St. Joseph Catholic
Church at Kellnersville. They celebrated their 60th anniversay in 1985. Julius
preceded her in death on May 16, 1986. She was a member of Holy Innocents Catholic
Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Manitowoc Arie No.
706. Emily enjoyed fishing, gardening, her flowers, crocheting and sewing.
Survivors include a son-in-law, Bill Rief, Glendale, Wis.; two granddaughters, Susan
Rief, Chandler, Ariz., Jerilyn (Mark) Krueger, Kiel; five great grandchildren; two
sisters-in-law, Christie Kimmel, Whitelaw and Lucille Kimmel of Manitowoc; nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by two
daughters, Elaine Hallada in 1968, and Marilyn Rief in 1992, two brothers, John and
Joe Kimmel and two sisters, Anna Swetlik and Tillie Swetlik and two granddaughters.
Friends may call at the Reinbold-Pfeffer Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday and at
Holy Innocents Catholic Church after 10 a.m. Monday until the time of service at
11 a.m. A prayer service will be held on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. lead by Deacon Paul
Kieffer.
