GEORGE DOUGLAS, RESIDENT HERE 40 YEARS, DIES
George Douglas died at his home, 613 Chicago Street Sunday night of heart
failure following an illness of several months. Deceased was a native of upper
Canada, born Jan. 1, 1854 and located at Clarks Mills when a small boy. He had
made his home in this city for forty years or more. He is survived by his wife
and three children, Mrs. Charles Singbell, Officer Douglas of the police force,
and Mrs. Stella Schwantz of Antigo. Three step-children also survive, Wiliam L.
Muth, Mrs. Ida Kochler of this city and Charles Douglas of Antigo. A sister,
Mrs. Sarah Pheree also survives. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon
from the home with interment at Evergreen.
