LILY DOUGLAS

Mrs. Charles Douglas, 52, died Monday evening at her home, 1306 Philippen street,
after a lingering illness. Mrs. Douglas, nee Lillie Moenig, was born in Manitowoc
July 14, 1892.
She was married to Mr. Douglas Sept. 26, 1911, and he survives with six children.
The daughters are Mrs. Herbert Fricke, Mrs. Ervin Strzyzewski, the Misses Amanda
and Cora, all of Manitowoc, two sons, Herman and Charles Jr., at home. Other
survivors are the deceased’s father, Herman Moenig, city; a brother, Carl Moenig,
Charleston, S.C. and two sisters, Mrs. Peter Sedlacek, Manitowoc, and Mrs. Carl
Pagel, Algoma.
Funeral services will be held at the Pfeffer funeral home at 2 p.m. Thursday
conducted by the Rev. C. H. Phipps, D.D. of the Presbyterian church. Friends may
call to pay their respects at the funeral home after noon Wednesday. The body will
be taken to Milwaukee for cremation.
