VIOLET M. DOUGLAS

Violet M. Douglas, age 95, a Manitowoc resident, died Tuesday, August 3, 1993,
at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, August 5, 1993, at the Pfeffer
Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating the service will be Rev. John R. White
with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The former Violet Willoughby was born January 24, 1898, at England, daughter
of the late George and Emma Nottage Willoughby. She married Charles H. Douglas
Sr., August 6, 1950, at Manitowoc. He preceded her in death December 10, 1975.
Mrs. Douglas was a member of Faith Evangelical Free Church of Manitowoc.
Survivors include two stepdaughters, Amanda Schmidt, Sparks, Nev., Marion
(Ervin) Strzyzewski, Manitowoc; a stepson, Charles Douglas Jr., California;
10 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; a
close and dear friend, Christy Zahn, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives
and many friends survive. She was also preceded in death by four sisters, a
brother, George Willoughby Jr., a step-daughter, Leona Fricke and a step-son
Herman Douglas.
Friends may all at the Pfeffer Funeral Home 11 a.m. Thursday morning until the
time of service at 1:30 p.m.
Violet was a very loving and caring person to all and also had many devoted
friends who cared lovingly for her.
