EUNICE V. DOW
Eunice V. Dow, age 87, a Manitowoc resident, died Thursday morning,
May 10, 2007, at Woodside Lutheran Home, Green Bay.
She was born Nov. 23, 1919, in Green Bay, daughter of the late Alex J.
and Gertrude (Heim) Pensis. Eunice was a graduate of Green Bay East
High School, class of 1938. On Oct. 19, 1946, she married Donald (Tiny)
Dow in Green Bay. He preceded her in death June 23, 1983. Eunice was
vice-president of Dow Canvas Products, retiring in 1976 after 23 years
of employment. She was a former member of St. Andrew Catholic Church
and a current member of St. Francis of Assisi and Daughters of Isabella.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Norma Pensis, Green Bay; nieces and
nephews: David (Mary) Pensis, Green Bay, Lynn (Dale) Wagner, Coatsville,
Ind.; Drs. Richard (Jean) Pensis, Bondue,; Dr. Mark Pensis, Clintonville;
Dr. Sharon (Eric) Balstad, Green Bay; Steven (Laura), Pensis, Tustin,
Mich.; Patrick (Jean) Pensis, Burnsville, Minn.; and Edith Reschke,
Green Bay. Great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends
also survive.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters-in-law,
Austin and Arlene Pensis; Warren and Theresa Pensis and James Pensis.
Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at St.
Francis of Assisi on Grand Avenue, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass
of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dan Felton with burial at Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home &
Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2007,
where a prayer service will conclude the visitation at 7 p.m., led by
Sister Renee Delvaux.
The family will also greet relatives and friends Tuesday morning at St.
Francis of Assisi on Grand Avenue, Manitowoc, from 11 a.m. until the
time of service at noon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Eunice's name to St. Francis
Catholic Schools (Formally MACS).
