He was born on Dec. 2, 1931, in Manitowoc, son of the late Edward and Evelyn (O'Connor) Drida. Ronald was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, class of 1951. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean War. Ronald was employed at Lakeside Packing, Manitowoc.
Survivors include three daughters and special friend(s); a son; mother of his children; five grandchilddren; and three great-grandchildren (private). Nieces, nephews, other relatives and a special friend (private), also survive. He was also preceded in death by a daughter: Sharon R. Drida; a grandson: Philip Hodas: and two stepmothers: Florence Drida and Mae Drida.
Private family funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, 2011, at The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Deacon Paul Kieffer with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses at St. Mary's at Felician Village for their care given to Ronald during his stay.
