TO MANY FRIENDS
Succumbs to Shock of Operation After a Brief Illness
Friends
were shocked Saturday afternoon by the announcement of the death of Mrs. Hugo
Drumm, Washington street, which occurred at the hospital following an operation
which she underwent a few hours previously. Mrs. Drumm was removed to the
hospital earlier in the week and was not thought to be in serious condition. The
shock of
the operation caused death.
Mrs. Drumm, nee Ella Daeke, was 35
years of age, having been born in this city August 18, 1882. She is survived by
her husband and one son, Harry, aged 6, her mother, Mrs. O. Daeke, two brothers
Henry and William and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Guse, Jr., and Mrs. Albert Stock.
The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 from the home, 1201
Washington street, to the German Lutheran church at 2, Rev. Machmiller
officiating. The death of Mrs. Drumm will be sincerely mourned by many friends
who knew and admired her.
