LORRAINE I. DRUMM

Lorraine I. Drumm, age 95, a resident of St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc, died Sunday evening, Aug. 1, 2004 at the home. She was born July 21, 1909 in the town of Cato, daughter of the late Ole and Mary (Miller) Ellestad. On Nov. 8, 1927, Lorraine married William J. Drumm in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on July 3, 1977. Lorraine was a volunteer at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center for 25 years and was very active at First Lutheran Church in the Women's Groups, especially the "Quilters" making numerous quilts for Lutheran World Relief. She was famous for her "sugar cookies" and was an avid flower gardener. She was also an excellent seamstress. Survivors include two daughters: Jean Craney, Sheboygan Falls; Joan Zingale, Madison; a sister: Alice Diegel, Manitowoc; six grandchildren: Jeffrey (Jean) Craney, Jill Nebus, Julie (Leonard) Wagner, Jody (Kenneth) Kott, Linda (Steven) Shafer, Lisa (Daryl) Sisson; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; along with many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by two sisters: Myrtle Schlei and Florence Henriott; one infant brother: Vernon Ellestad; three sons-in-law: James Craney, James Huber and Santos Zingale; and one granddaughter: Christine Craney. The family will greet relatives and friends at First Lutheran Church Chapel, Manitowoc, from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004 Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church Chapel, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Steven Solberg with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. There will be no Tuesday evening visitation. The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of St. Mary's Home, especially Tower 3 for their continuous devotion to their mother.
