WILLIAM DRUMM DIES AT FONDY LATE LAST NITE
While he was going through the preliminary rest and diet periods in preparation
for a serious operation at a Fond du Lac hospital, WIlilam F. Drumm, 59, a life-
long resident of this city and an employe of the Cereal Products company here
for over 40 years, died in that city at 11:30 o’clock last night. Mr. Drumm had
been in the institution for ten days and was shortly to have been operated upon
for goiter from which he had suffered for some time.
As a youth, he started work as an employe of the William Rahr Sons company and
though many changes were made in the big institution, he continued with the
concern and its successor and spent practically his entire active life with the
organization. He was born in Manitowoc on November 20, 1869.
Thirty-five years ago he married Bertha Rohrer of this city who, with five
children, Mrs. Melvin Meisner of Milwaukee, Mrs. C. W. Sheets of New York, Mrs.
H L. Rux of Chicago, Mrs. Eugene Conklin and Willlam Drumm of this city, two
brothers, Charles A. and Fred of this cit, two sisters, Mrs. Anna Bausch,
Manitowoc, and Mrs. Frederica Drumm of Wausau, survive him.
The body was returned to Manitowoc this morning by the Pfeffer company and will
be taken to the home on S. Tenth street tomorrow afternoon.
Funeral arrangements have not been completed, the arrangements awaiting receipt
of information from relatives from outside of the city, but will be announced
tomorrow. Burial will take place at Evergreen cemetery.
