Anton Duchon, 82, of 1020 N. 16th Street, Manitowoc, died unexpectedly Saturday
afternoon, September 13, 1986 at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc. Funeral services
will be 11 am Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church, Manitowoc. Rev. William B.
Plank will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Duchon was born November 22, 1903 in the Township of Kossuth, Manitowoc
County, son of the late Frank and Mary Pech Duchon. He grew up and was educated
in the Township of Kossuth, moving to Manitowoc as a young man and living here
most of his life. He married Alvina A. Kostlevy on September 4, 1928 at Melnik
Presbyterian Church. Mr. Duchon was employed at Dick Bros. Bakery for 36 years,
retiring in 1966. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Manitowoc and
the Manitowoc Senior Citizens.
Survivors include his wife, Alvina; three sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and
Virginia Duchon of Downers Grove, Illinois, Gerald and Maureen Duchon of Verona,
Wisconsin and Claude and Helen Duchon of Norman, Oklahoma; a daughter and son-
in-law, Rita and Bruce Kilmer of Green Bay; two sisters, Agnes Havlichek of
Francis Creek and Marian Novotny of Manitowoc; a sister-in-law, Mildred Duchon
of Whitelaw; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in
death by three sisters and two brothers.
Friends may call at Reinbold Pfeffer Urbanek and Schlei State Street Chapel,
Manitowoc, 5 pm to 8 pm Monday and Tuesday at the church from 10 am to the time
of services.
