Frank Duchon, Sr., 74, Kossuth farmer, died Friday at his residence in
Brockville.
Mr. Duchon’s death was sudden. He had aided in farm work during the day and
accompanied relatives to Manitowoc on a shopping trip late in the afternoon.
He was stricken soon after his return home and died in a few minutes.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Shimek and Schwartz
funeral parlors, North Eighth street. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Duchon was born in Bohemia in 1864 and came to this county in 1882 locating
on a farm. In 1894 he married Miss Mary Pech.
Survivors are the widow; three sons, Anton, city, Joseph and Frank, Kossuth,
five daughters, Mrs. Emil Wit, Melnik, Mrs. Harry Havlichek, Francis Creek, Mrs.
Walter Tegen, Independence, Iowa, Mrs. Ralph Siebold, city, Marion, Kossuth;
sister, Mrs. Anton Albrecht, Maribel. There are also three brothers and a sister
residing in Czechoslovakia and nine grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home from 10 a.m. Sunday until the hour
of the services Monday.
