Edward J. Duckart, 63, of 1139 N. 17th St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday morning
at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Urbanek & Schlei Funeral
Home and at 10:30 a.m.(sic) at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc.
The Rev. Leo Schmitt will oficiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Mr. Duckart was born Nov. 22, 1908, in the Town of Gibson, son of the late
Michael and Katherine Bodem Duckart. He married Anna Valenta Nov. 4, 1933, at
Tisch Mills. The couple resided in Tisch Mills until 1937, coming to Manitowoc.
In 1939, they moved to Green Bay and returned to Manitowoc in 1942. He was
employed as an inspector at Kelvinator Commercial Products Inc., Manitowoc,
until his retirement in 1971.
Survivors include his wife, two brothers, Raymond of Denmark and John of
Manitowoc; four sisters; Mrs. Barbara Bligiske of Green Bay, Mrs. Joseph Krummel,
of Mishicot, Miss Marie Duckart, of Denmark and Mrs. Lester Fidler, of Manitowoc,
and nieces and nephews. A sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday where memorial
services will be at 8 p.m.
