JAMES A. DUCKETT

James A. Duckett, age 67, a resident of 1417 S. 21st St., Manitowoc, entered into eternal life on Monday, Sept. 25, 2006, at West Allis Memorial Hospital. Jim was born on May 3, 1939, in Two Rivers, to the late Albert and Helen Majewski Duckett. He attended Two Rivers schools, and later was employed at Manitowoc Engineering, Brennan Transport and R&J Fricke Trucking. On May 21, 1975, Jim married Shirley A. Luebke in Manitowoc. Jim was a self-proclaimed fix-it man who enjoyed beer and BBQs. Survivors include his wife of 31 years: Shirley; three stepsons: Richard Mrotek, Todd Mrotek and Brian Mrotek; a grandson: Jeremy Mrotek; two sisters: DeAnne DeLarwell and Marion DeLisle; also other relatives and friends surviving. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister: Angeline Hoffman. The family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2006, from 5 until 7 p.m. at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. A prayer service led by Deacon Paul Kieffer will be held at 7 p.m. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery. The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 628 N. Water St., Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the staff in the ICU unit at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay.
