Shirley was born on July 30, 1939, in Manitowoc, to the late Reinhold and Violet Qualman Luebke. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1957. Shirley was employed at Aluminum Specialty, Kelvinator, Service Tesh, and The Junque Box in Manitowoc. On May 21, 1975, Shirley married James A. Duckett in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on Sept. 25, 2006. She enjoyed spending her time going to rummage sales and going to casinos with her family.
Survivors include her three sons; three grandchildren; six sisters; (private); her Siberian Husky friend, Nika; also neices, nephews, other relatives and friends. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents: husband: Jim; and one brother: Robert.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, N. 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc, on Thursday, March 10,2011, from 4:30 p.m. to the time of the fuenral serivce at 5:30 p.m. Deacon Paul Kieffer will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
