Mrs. Bertha E. Duebner, 86, of 1006 Manila St., Manitowoc, died Sunday evening
at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral
Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Norval W. Kock will officiate and burial will be in
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Duebner, nee Bertha Mahnke, was born March 12, 1888, at Manitowoc, daughter
of the late Christ and Bertha Wilsing Mahnke. She was married to Theodore J.
Duebner May 15, 1909, at Manitowoc. He preceded her in death in January, 1968.
Mrs. Duebner attended First German Evangelical Lutheran Church and was a lifetime
resident of Manitowoc. She was a member of First German Evangelical Lutheran
Church and a charter member of the Ladies Aid society of the church.
Survivors include two sons, Dallas A. and Alton B.; a brother, Bernard Mahnke,
and a sister, Mrs. Clara Haupt, of Manitowoc, six grandchildren and nine great
grandchildren. 1 brother, five sisters and a great granddaughter preceded her
in death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and
Wednesday until the hour of service.
