LEONA TEKLA DUEBNER

Leona T. Duebner, age 90, formerly of 840 Wilson St., Manitowoc, died Monday
morning, March 24, 2003, at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2003, at St.
Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial
will be the Rev. Camillus Janas O.F.M. with burial at Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
She was born April 30, 1912, in Maribel, daughter of the late George and Sophie
Kowalski Saduske. Leona was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. On
Oct. 19, 1932, she married Dallas A. "Bucky" Duebner in Manitowoc. He preceded
her in death Aug. 5, 1976. Leona was employed at S.S. Kresge Co. of Manitowoc
for many years as well at Frieder's Bakery before her retirement. She was a
member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella and was an avid
card player.
Survivors include a daughter: Marilyn Rochon, Manitowoc; two sons and a daughter-
in-law: William and Maryann Duebner, Manitowoc; Carl Duebner, Two Rivers; 12
grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother:
Jerome Saduske, Manitowoc; a sister: Claire Kuffel, Manitowoc; a brother-in-law:
Alton Duebner and his wife: Margaret, Manitowoc; and a sister-in-law: Marilyn
Saduske, Two Rivers. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by a brother: Chester Saduske; two sisters: Lucy
Dirkmann and her husband, Thomas; Marie Brandt and her husband, Art; a granddaughter;
a son-in-law: Gilbert Rochon; a daughter-in-law: Nancy Duebner; a brother-in-law:
Albian Kuffel; and a sister-in-law: Catherine Duebner.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Boniface Catholic Church,
Manitowoc, from 9:30 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service at 11 a.m.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the
family with funeral arrangements.

Saduske-Duebner Wedding To Be Solemnized Tonight
This evening, at 6 o'clock, Miss Leona Saduske, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George
Saduske, 1602 Washington street, will be united in marriage to Dallas Duebner,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Duebner, 1006 Manila street. They will be married
by the Rev. Henry Schueller at the St. Boniface rectory.
Miss Claire Saduske and Chester Saduske, sister and brother of the bride, will
be the attendants. The bride will be attired in a brown suit with matching
accessories and will have a shoulder bouquet of tea roses. Her attendant will be
dressed similarly in a brown suit, with accessories to match, and will have a
shoulder bouquet of mixed flowers.
A 7 o'clock dinner will be served to 20 guests at the Saduske home, and a reception
will follow.
The couple will reside at 1602 Washington street.
