Otto C. Duebner, 76, of 917 S. 13th St., Manitowoc, died Saturday morning at
Memorial Hospital after a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Wesley Methodist Church, Manitowoc,
the Rev. Donald Stannard officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Duebner was born Jan 8, 1880, at Newton, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl
Duebner. He attended the Newton schools. In 1900 he was graduated from Sheboygan
Business College and in 1904 from the University of Wisconsin dairy school. He
married Linda Eberhardt on July 7, 1906, in Newton where he ran a cheese factory
until 1913. He moved to Manitowoc and in 1935 acquired the Manitowoc Creamery Co.
which he operated until his retirement in 1952. He was a member of Christian
Stewards of Wesley Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Harold and Howard of Manitowoc; three
brothers, Ernst, Theodore and Emil of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Louis Mahnke of
Manitowoc and two grandchildren of Manitowoc.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 2 p.m.
Sunday until 10:30 a.m. Monday when the casket will be moved to the church where
the body will lie in state until the funeral.
